Message from the Principal
A Note from Principal Logan

Dear Northwest Lutheran Families,
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ!
I am blessed and honored to introduce myself as the incoming Principal of Northwest Lutheran School for the 2026-27 school year! Joining the LUMIN schools community - and specifically the Northwest Lutheran family - is both a professional privilege and a personal blessing, and I am excited to continue this journey alongside you.
I was born and raised in Chicago, and most of my educational career has been here in Milwaukee. I received my Bachelors degree in English from Fisk University, Masters in Educational Leadership from National Louis University, and am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in education from Alverno College. For the past several years, I have served as a school leader in Milwaukee, most recently as a founding middle school principal. Throughout my career, my passion and call have remained the same: creating schools where children are deeply known, academically challenged, spiritually grounded and genuinely loved. My personal leadership philosophy is simple: I choose my kids daily, on purpose. I believe every child deserves adults who intentionally show up for them with consistency, compassion, accountability and high expectations each and every day.
I am truly excited about all that lies ahead for our school community this year. We are committed to creating a welcoming, faith-filled environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Our dedicated teachers and staff will provide meaningful learning experiences that encourage curiosity, strengthen character, and help each child discover and develop their God-given gifts.
We know that students thrive when families and schools work together, and I look forward to building that partnership with you. Throughout the year, you can expect regular communication, opportunities to participate in school activities and events, and many chances to celebrate our students’ growth and achievements. Above all, the safety, well-being, and success of every student will remain at the heart of all we do. I am grateful to begin this journey with you and cannot wait to see what we accomplish together.
We look forward to a year of growth, joy and achievement as we continue to celebrate what makes Northwest what it is, and become even better, together.
Yours In Christ,
Ms. LaQuasha Logan, Proud Northwest Lutheran Principal
